The Golden Ears Transition Initiative (GETI) is having GETIFest on September 22 at the Maple Ridge Memorial Peace Park. To celebrate “Year of the Girl”, they are partnering with the Girl Guides of Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows. The festival coincides with the weekly Haney Farmers’ Market. GETIFest will also include an Artisan Village, where local artisans can display and sell their creations.

The Golden Ears Transition Initiative (GETI) is an umbrella organization that is affiliated with local groups that are interested in sustainability, community self-reliance, and social well-being in Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows. Groups that are affiliated with GETI include the CEED Centre, the Farm for Life Project and – guess who? – the Hammond Neighbours (and many other groups with similar goals and ideas).

If you are an artisan and would like to display at the Artisan Fair, email Lisa or Kim at Here’s the registration form: GETIFest Artisan Registration.

  1. The Artisan fair will be a great opportunity for local artists and crafters alike to sell their creations! Thanks to Jen and the Hammond Neighbours for being a part of G.E.T.I. and Getifest!
